United for Soles

2021

Approximately 2,380 pairs of shoes and 420 clothing items were distributed to the following local organizations:

  • Alpha Family Services of Greenville
  • Manna's Market
  • REACH
  • Relief After Violent Encounter
  • Patty's Place
  • Michigan Works 
  • The Right Door 
  • Barrie's House 
  • Greenville Nazarene
  • M46 Tabernacle Pantry
  • Portland Community Fund
  • Portland Community Closet
  • Barry County United Way 
  • Carson City Epic Church
  • Mid-Michigan Migrant Group 

 

2020

Over 6,000 pairs of shoes and almost 500 pieces of apparel were distributed through United Way Montcalm-Ionia Counties:

  • 1,025 pairs of shoes & 362 pieces of apparel were distributed throughout Ionia & Montcalm Counties
  • United Way of Southwest Michigan received 1,085 pairs of shoes & 54 pieces of apparel
  • Barry County United Way received 1,221 pairs of shoes & 60 pieces of apparel
  • 906 pairs of shoes were distributed to Gratiot and Isabella Counties
  • 1,100 pairs of shoes were distributed to Lansing
  • 1,200 pairs of shoes were distributed to the Alpena Region

2019

Approximately 3,200 pairs of shoes were donated to Ionia and Montcalm school districts and nonprofit organizations. The schools and organizations self-determine how they will be distributed to those in need.
